At 35 weeks, a baby is around 18.2 inches and weighs about 5.3 lbs. The fetus takes up most of the uterus. Arms and legs begin accumulating layers of fat (to help regulate body temperature). Most babies born at this stage can survive without many long-term problems. At 35 weeks, hearing is fully developed.
