<h4 class="dechead">On One Hand: Relora Relieves Stress
Two of the ingredients in Relora, magnolia and phellodendron extract, have been confirmed as effective in reducing stress in women, according to a 2008 article in Nutrition Journal. Additionally, a study published in 2006 in Alternative Therapies Magazine reported that Relora was safe and effective in treating anxiety and stress.
On the Other: Weight Loss Claims Are Secondary
Often, Relora is marketed as a weight loss treatment. Nevertheless, the reports already mentioned, as well as published comments made by Dr. Patrick Spithill, support Relora's ability to reduce stress but indicate that weight loss is merely the result of a reduction in stress-related eating.
Bottom Line
For treatment of anxiety and stress, Relora is effective, as indicated by published studies and authoritative independent reviews. However, associated weight loss appears to result from reduced stress-related eating habits. Individuals who are overweight due to other reasons might not benefit from Relora to the same extent and might prefer other alternatives.
