Relationship
Eligible children for the tax credit are sons, daughters, adopted children, stepchildren, grandchildren, brothers and sisters, half brothers and sisters, stepbrothers and stepsisters, and nieces and nephews. Legally assigned foster children are also eligible children.
Age
Eligible children for the tax credit are children under the age of 19 at the conclusion of the year, full-time students under the age of 24 at the conclusion of the year, and completely disabled children of any age.
