An "Errors on page" message is often seen at the bottom bar of a Web browser. The error messages do not give a descriptive answer of what the problem could be. It does not always mean that a website is harmful if there are errors. It could be just a programming mistake on the Web developer's side.
Browser Incompatibility
An error could be showing because the website was written to be compatible with Mozilla Firefox browser but not Internet Explorer. Download a different browser and try again.
Outdated Browser
An outdated version of your Internet browser could be causing errors, as it is unable to process new coding and dynamic language. Update to the latest version and try to view the site.
Invalid HTML
HTML language is the basic coding of all websites. Invalid "tags" could show errors on the screen, meaning an HTML "tag" has not been properly closed.
CSS Errors
Cascading Style Sheets are Web 2.0 methods of controlling text, display, colors and the overall look of a website. CSS Errors inside style.css file could be showing errors of page as the style sheet is invalid or improperly coded.
JavaScript Errors
JavaScript is a Web language used to animate images, text and objects. It also enhances visitor experience and creates dynamic pages. Object "tags" and JavaScript programming show "errors on page" if the code is not written correctly.
Website Validation
Run a website URL through a validation service such as validator.w3.org for both debugging purposes and to see if any programming changes need to take place. Validation also helps to see if a website is properly coded for all Internet browsers.
