  • Lebeca isn't a huge company with an easy to find website. So if you've lost your installation CD with the original driver on it, you may be having trouble installing the camera and you are not alone. One of the suggested common search options that Google suggests if you type in "Lebeca," is "Lebeca Web Camera Driver."

    The Operating System

Realize that Lebeca Web cameras are a little older as they were originally made for the Windows 98 through Windows XP. Finding a driver for Windows Vista or Windows 7 will be impossible because there is no such driver. This does not mean that the camera will not work on those operating systems, but a specific driver for those operating systems will be impossible to find.

    The Driver

Download the driver for the webcam (see Resources). In order to download it, you must either register to become a member (this is free), or view ads as you complete the download process (this is also free). This driver will work on Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows 2000 and Windows XP.

    Plug and Play

Windows Vista and Windows 7 are the most up-to-date versions of Microsoft Windows. As such, they feature a mode called "Plug and Play." This means that if you plug in the camera, Windows may find a compatible driver, or it may just recognize the camera and allow it to work within Windows. In both instances you would not need to download a driver to make the camera work.
