The federal taxes taken out of a Georgia paycheck can vary depending on your income, marital status and how many federal allowances you claim. A single Georgia citizen claiming one federal allowance and earning a $30,000 annual salary will have 9 percent of his income taken out for federal taxes. Keep in mind that this does not include state taxes, social security or medicare.
