    Professionally Researched. (What's this?)

McDonald's has spent over $700 million to sponsor the FIFA World Cup soccer tournament. McDonald's also created several happy meals based around the FIFA World Cup. It is believed that other businesses spent close to the same amount as McDonald's to sponsor the tournament.
