According to the official IncrediMail website, IncrediMail has no spyware, no malware and nothing that invades the security or privacy of users' computers. IncrediMail says it has been rated "100% safe" by AVG Anti-Virus, Windows Defender, Ad-Aware, Norton Antivirus and many others.
On the Other: There are Performance Problems
IncrediMail has had a number of known performance problems, including unwanted pop-ups, crashes and installation problems. IncrediMail's templates are also frequently mistaken for spam by various email programs, resulting in IncrediMail messages being blocked or automatically trashed.
Bottom Line
As far as computer security, spyware and malware, IncrediMail is safe. IncrediMail passes the test with a number of highly regarded spyware and anti-virus programs. However, there continue to be technical problems with the program. IncrediMail is also, according to CNET, "quite the resource pig," causing emails that are much larger in size than regular email messages.
