    Great Answer

    Professionally Researched. (What's this?)

Patients should take only the prescribed dosage of Ambien, and nothing more under any circumstances. If the patient is not responding to the recommended dose, they should consult with their physician. Any more Ambien than prescribed can be defined as too much.

Ambien overdose is not good. In all drugs, it should not be abused! Asked the right dosage to your doctor! I have buy my ambien at medsheaven.com and felt the effect the first time I take it.

I take 10mg and that usually knocks me out but I also take Seroquel which helps even more to sleep. I would say if it puts you to sleep (and you're not trying to stay up on purpose to act like an idiot) then you should stick to the lowest dosage possible. If you take too much and don't get enough sleep you are likely to fall asleep at work the next day or feel like you have a hangover. You should only take as much as it takes for you to fall asleep. If you are also having problems staying asleep you can ask about ambien xr, or Lunesta. If your normal dosage used to help and no longer does, you have probably developed a tolerance for the drug and can switch back and forth with a different sleeping medicine.

If you think your dose is too much, then it probably is.
