    Professionally Researched. (What's this?)

During the 1980s an Alaskan Crab fishermen deckhand could bring home $60,000 to $70,000 thousand dollars a season. In 2009, a deckhand made about $40,000 from a crab fishing season. Boat owner salaries have dropped over 50 percent from $1 million a year to around $400,000.
