you have to tell you dr. that you are in extreme pain (describe in detail the when and the how) and ask for alternative to the treatments or less sstressful work scedule since they are too hard on you. if that doesn't work it may be time for a second opinion

ask for a referral to a specialist or a pain management dr.

I have had both knees operated on twice. the first surgery was a disaster. my knee had water drawn off at least 12 times. bacteria had set in and it never stopped hurting and definetly did not heal. so, i went to a specialist and the operation was performed a second time. this time it worked. Lets face it, some doctors are better than others. if you are still in pain, seek a 2nd opinion. you insurance company will pay for this. Pls. let me know, john

I have had knee surgery and a few years ago, a total knee replacement. It takes alot of physical therapy and yes it DOES hurt. Is it possible to take a medical leave of absence from work? If not, sit down and speak to your surgeon and explain the pain, and the limited time you have for PT and cannot do it all, you are getting tired etc. If he/she wont give you the OK, then I would see someone else, or perhaps your primary care physician.
