Federal welfare benefits include: Supplemental Security Income, SSDI (SSI Disability), Medicaid (federally funded program administered by the states), Aid to Families with Dependant Children (AFDC), WIC (Women's Infants and Children) and Housing Assistance (Section 8). There are also various welfare programs that range from assistance buying a home to assistance for farmers. At the state level, benefits include: Welfare Cash Benefits, state sponsored health care, food stamps, and housing assistance. As stated above, some state programs are funded at a federal level.
