  • Not until I am sure that I will not be (at least) causing further (unintended) damage to the situation
  • I'd put the rabbit in the bag and hit it with something heavy to put it out of it's misery, or shoot it. I don't know if this is generalisable to people though - for example, in the case of a car accident with a trapped person, I'd be careful to accertain my own safety before trying to go and talk to them or get them out of the car. Sometimes it's best to wait for emergency services rather than causing further harm. I think if it was a split-second situation - a car gone into a lake and sinking or a child stepping out in the street, I would act without thought for myself to save that person.

  • i would try to kill it in the most humane way possible...
  • We had Myxomatosis in our rabbits. We lost most of our rabbits, all the older ones and half of the younger stock. The remaining rabbits had gotten sick but lived. It isn't always a death sentence and death comes real quick if it comes. So I would try good nursing again. The vet could do nothing for us.
