They're working on the notification system right now. According to the blog, they didn't want to put it out too soon because they're trying to improve on the old one, which often had some lag time before answers/comments showed up on our profile page.

I get notified of comments posted in the "feedback" section, but can't read most of them because it then says "no comments" posted!
