I wrote a check to a store, the clerk wrote her name over mine and cashed it, what will happen, what should I do?

    You go tell the clerk and ask for your check back to see if the clerk did write over it. If she did do it, just give it to someone else other than that clerk so it wont happen again.

    If you are sure of the person, file a report with the police department.

    Cashed it as in validated it and put it in her cash register or endorsed by writing her name on the back of the check and using your check to make a purchase?

    Talk to your bank first, then to the store where it happened. Also turn it over to the district attorney's office hot check division. Prosecute!
