Should the USA expand the war on terror to Northern Africa?

    On December 15, 2009 by order of President Barack Obama, the U.S. military launched cruise missiles against two al-Quaeda sites in Yemen. The US and Saudi Arabia were assisting the Yemeni government with the targeted sites.
    One was a training camp north of the capitol at Sanaa, and the second target was a location where officials said "an imminent attack against a U.S. asset was being planned."
    The Yemen attacks by the U.S. military represent a major escalation of the Obama administration's campaign against al Qaeda.
    That particular military operation amounts to bear hunting with a BB gun and only served to aggravate the situation.
    To quote Carl von Clausewitz, “A wounded bear becomes more ferocious and aggressive, but a dead bear no longer poses a threat.”
    Why did we not use 2 Daisy Cutter Bombs and take out 90% of the al-Quaeda presence in Yemen?

    Right now I think this would be a big mistake. The new US president has offered a genuine hand of friendship and reconcilliation to the Muslim radicals (like Iran and others) but has been slapped in the face. The only thing these animals understand is the blade of the sword and tough uncompromising action - not friendly chatting. The US needs to make it very clear now that if there is another 9/11 then Iran (just for example) will pay the price...and that price will 1000 fold the suffering of the American people. This will be the only thing the maniacs will understand. You have to keep it very simple for the uneducated.

    We should expand the war on terror to Israel. The war on terror needs to go to where the terrorists are and that's Israel. They keep causing toruble in that area and each time it causes fuel prices to rise. It would pay the world to send U.N. troops there.
