The Nazi Party and Communist movements also grew at a phenomenal rate. Need I say more?
It is true such things have been stated. I don't really understand it since many religious groups have been persecuted.
False.
It is one of the qualities we might expect the true church to exibit, but it is not a defining characteristic. Nor is it unique.
False. The Bible says "Woe to the earth" and false prophets will go out into the world". I think the church confirms both of these scriptures by it's incredibly fast growth. Because money and power are so important to the members, I actually believe this church was inspired in order for those who would "follow another gospel", even to their destruction. This is, I believe, one of the reasons mormons have said "If mormonism is wrong, their is no way they can be saved."
I would have to join the group that answered "False". As has been mentioned, there are many groups and Churches which have suffered both persecution and rapid growth and we know they cannot all be true and disagree as they do.
The Church of Jesus Christ is small in comparison to the Catholics and Protestants,(if taken as a group, as they choose to do) and we shall remain relatively small in comparison, until after the coming of Christ.
But the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is true in spite of these conditions...Later
False. By the way, I am Mormon.
If that were true, then all you would have to do is find out which church was growing fastest and join that one. There is nothing in the scriptures that indicate that a fast growing church is the true one. In fact, in Christ's time, the church was small and struggling even though there was lots of missionary work and quite a few converts.
False. It's not about numbers. It's about giving your whole heart to Christ.
False.

You're reading MORMONS True or False: 'The rapid growth of the LDS Church, even under persecution, proves that it is the true church' And please start your answer with a very clear and distinct "True" or "False" before you explain it.

Yes, that's a "false". I could have also mentioned Scientology and the Unification Church, as well.

Thank you for clarifying. You might want to edit your answer so your "False" stance is crystal clear. And you can throw in Scientology and the Moonies while you're editing.
