Help answer this question below.
That's an apples and oranges question. The Mayan calendar has sets of interlocking cycles that work together like a geared machine. It's like trying to compare a sundial with Big Ben. The Mayan calendar is more intricate. But without our leap years, leap days, leap minutes, and leap seconds, our calendar wouldn't be very accurate at all. In the Middle Ages, before Pope Julian created the current calendar, the days had accumulated into weeks. It was beginning to affect the seasons.
This would have been a great question on April 1. As I recall, that was the day the calendar changed over.
our current calendar is not all that accurate, just look at all the times it was changed.
I have read that is 16 days off,so maybe this magic date will be - 6.01.2013.?
I really don't give a damn.
Compared to the mayans, i guess the moon based calendar is most accurate. But between the two i think they'll somehow unrelated as each is based on different stuff. +4
