I have two male cats. One is 1 1/2 and the other is 6 months old. I just got the younger one fixed and now the older cat is mean to him. What should I do? Is this normal?

The younger cat's smell may have changed as a result of being at the vet's. The best thing to do is separate them for a few days in a way that will allow them to see and smell each other, but not interact much; a room with enough clearance under the door to paw at each other is perfect. Letting them get reacquainted that way should help.

If you had the other one fixed then yes It is normal oterwise its not fare. Being fixed is not something to be proud of so the cat might feel gelous of the other cat witch might lead the cat to be mean. I hope this helps

I don't know if it's normal, but when one of our cats "crashed" due to CRF and was in the hospital for three days, we brought her back and two of our cats (one is her sister) who used to love/protect her were mean to her for the first few days after her return. It sorted itself out after a few days.
