Help answer this question below.

Is there a way to download someone else's music onto your ipod from their computer/itunes without deleting what is already on your ipod? (your music will not be the same as theirs)

    Yes, it is possible, but a little tricky. Apple has set up the iPod to only load from one computer at a time. You'll have to download some freeware to work around this, which is generally frowned on by Apple. If, in the process, you mess up your iPod, Apple won't want to help you fix it.

    I had the same problem only it was on two of my own computers - I made the mistake of using an iTunes gift certificate to download tracks onto my work computer, when it was my home computer that has the CD library and is the standard loading computer for my iPod.

    What worked for me was to either:
    1) use a memory stick or cd to transfer the files onto my home computer (use a freeware like MyFairTunes to strip the DRM, if the iTunes store has locked the track for other computers).

    2) Install a program like Floola onto your friend's computer, and use that to load the songs onto your iPod. BE CAREFUL when you use it, though. If you don't follow directions your iPod can become corrupted, and you'll have to reset it to factory settings in order to use it again and lose all your tracks in the process.

    3) Go ahead and delete what's on your iPod and load from your friends computer, then bring those tunes back to your home computer and put them in your library (using MyFairTunes or other freeware).
