it sounds like you have pressed the 'ins' butten. That means that it overtypes rather than inserting. Press the ins button again, and it should go away
Ins or Insert.
Is it possible that you accidentally hit 'insert' whilst using backspace to delete unwanted content?
Pressing 'insert' again should help if this is the case!
OHHHH Wait, It sounds like you hit your "insert button", hit your insert button on your keyboard; if so ignore the rest of the this posting LOL
Try using your back arrow (undo) until you can see where it started, then save document and re-open it
or
If it's a new document and not much to lose just open a new one.
or
Save changes X out, then re-open it
I was looking in mine to see if there is a "reset to default" but I can't find it yet

You're reading In MS Word i accidentally pressed something. Now when i type it types *over* what is written rather than typing in between two letters or characters. How do i fix it?
