I see you are still at it, trying to catch us in our words?

If a man is ordained to an office in the Melchizedek Priesthood, he is called of God, period! But we are to heed him, ONLY if he is doing God's will.

It doesn't matter if he is a Bishop, or an Apostle, if he is not following the guidance set forth by the Lord through our Prophet, we do not need to follow him.

We are responsible for our own actions and we are responsible for finding out the Lord's will for ourselves. We do not have to take anyone Else's word for anything...Later

I think it's backwards. A man is called to the priesthood first, and then is ordained. When performing his priestly duties, his office should be respected, but he is still human and subject to error.

    Does it matter?

false: no man must be heeded not the prophet or christ himself must be heeded. god gave man the agency to choose right from wrong. this does not mean that it would not behoove you to fallow the council of christ or his designated representatives.

The only One who must be heeded is GOD! Your title doesn't make you a dictator. I know Mormons have a bit of a problem with having their authority questioned, but your NOT "THE" authority, only a guide for your flock,(God help them),NOT there Supreme Ruler. Oh yeah, signed, Melchezidek. That's right, I don't stutter,(or typo), that's MELCHEZIDEK! A prince without birth or death, beginning or end, (and still going strong)!

Mostly FALSE. In the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, we ascribe to a system of stewardship. If a certain person is a steward over me (such as a parent, bishop, or quorum president), I should give heed to their counsel (not the same thing as blind obedience). If someone else gives me counsel (even if he does hold the Melchizedek Priesthood), I voluntarily heed (or not) the counsel with a clear conscience.

First of all, I'm curious whom you are quoting. Your link to lds.org says nothing regarding who said those words. I have never heard a teaching in the church phrased like that.

To answer your question: True, assuming you have faith in that priesthood. Also assuming he is following the promptings of the Spirit, teaching the true doctrine of Christ, and is acting within the authority of his office within the priesthood.

For example, a man who simply is conferred the Melchizedek Priesthood has no authority to impress his will upon anybody, and nobody is obligated to "heed" him, either. A man who is conferred that priesthood now has a duty to *serve* others. He can anoint and bless the sick, and perform service in the temple. Under the direction of his bishop or branch president, he can baptize, confirm and give the gift of the Holy Ghost. He can act in all of the duties and offices of the Aaronic Priesthood, which all include passing or blessing the sacrament, collecting fast offerings, home teaching, etc. (all acts of service)

Now, that changes a bit if a man is called to serve in a leadership position within the church. For example, if a man is called to be the Elders Quorum president, it his is duty to exercise that priesthood and seek guidance from the Lord as how to best run his quorum. He is in charge. He may receive inspiration to visit Brother I.T. and exhort him to pray, to read the scriptures, and to serve others. Should he be heeded? Absolutely! However, Brother I.T. still has the free agency to accept or reject the counsel given him. None of the things he advises you to do are binding. Conversely, if the Elders Quorum president comes into your home and exhorts you to smoke marijuana and beat your wife, he should obviously not be heeded since the Spirit would never teach us to do those type of things.

A man who obtains the Melchizedek Priesthood truly has an obligation to love and serve others, rather than command them.

Doctrine and Covenants clearly states in Section 121:41-46 "No power or influence can or ought to be maintained by virtue of the priesthood, only by persuasion, by long-suffering, by gentleness and meekness, and by love unfeigned; By kindness, and pure knowledge, which shall greatly enlarge the soul without hypocrisy, and without guile—Reproving betimes with sharpness, when moved upon by the Holy Ghost; and then showing forth afterwards an increase of love toward him whom thou hast reproved, lest he esteem thee to be his enemy; That he may know that thy faithfulness is stronger than the cords of death. Let thy bowels also be full of charity towards all men, and to the household of faith, and let virtue garnish thy thoughts unceasingly; then shall thy confidence wax strong in the presence of God; and the doctrine of the priesthood shall distil upon thy soul as the dews from heaven. The Holy Ghost shall be thy constant companion, and thy scepter an unchanging scepter of righteousness and truth; and thy dominion shall be an everlasting dominion, and without compulsory means it shall flow unto thee forever and ever."

Christ himself said that those in leadership positions should work to serve those that they are over. In Matthew 20:26-28 he says "But it shall not be so among you: but whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister; And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant: Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many."

Now, can a man in a position of authority abuse that authority? Of course. However, the Lord explains what happens to the authority of a man like that in D&C 121:36-37 when he says "That the rights of the priesthood are inseparably connected with the powers of heaven, and that the powers of heaven cannot be controlled nor handled only upon the principles of righteousness. That they may be conferred upon us, it is true; but when we undertake to cover our sins, or to gratify our pride, our vain ambition, or to exercise control or dominion or compulsion upon the souls of the children of men, in any degree of unrighteousness, behold, the heavens withdraw themselves; the Spirit of the Lord is grieved; and when it is withdrawn, Amen to the priesthood or the authority of that man."

While it is always wise to heed the teachings of our priesthood leaders, we ultimately can do whatever we want.

I think God calls those to their seats to be of servive to those seeking truth. The writings and practices have been allowing the spirit to move. Because revelations happen in Gods time we are trapped in the mystery of Mom.
co-exist. Stay in your seats as a witness to the Lord. Wash your robes with the 5 angles of truth. remove blame check self for selfishness, dishonesty, self seeking and frightened. Be clean and of service maintaining your seat and spreading the word until God Himself says otherwise. testimony carries the spirit and brings the flock together.
end of it all or not that is the dilligency in which we should be maintaining while ceasing to fight anything and everything while relaxing and taking it easy in the spirit of the Lord being good to ourselves and being of service to others. everyday. steadfast.
    hows that?

False. You only heed someone who is obeying the Lord in all things, and not every priesthood holder does. In fact, some of them are way off base.

There is a difference between following the Word of an individual who holds the priesthood and the priesthood giving the person the authority to be a spokesperson for Jesus Christ. The priesthood gives one the authority to act in God's name. Jesus Christ is still the head of the Church. Joseph Smith said, " What I the Lord have spoken, I have spoken, and I excuse not myself; and though the heavens and the earth pass away, my word shall not pass away, but shall all be fulfilled, whether by mine own voice or by the voice of my servants, it is the same." Therefore, if someone who was called of God and ordained, as was Aaron has the right to be the spokesman for God.

Mr. IT, you obviously have a problem with the LDS Church. Your questions are biased and worded in such a way as to put the LDS Church in a bad light. You have nothing to support your opinion and your questions are nothing more than bitter gossip. By so doing, you are showing the bad form that you accuse those, who oppose your opinion, of doing.
