If the ball is over foul territory when it hits the runner, it's simply a foul ball. The rule about a batted ball hitting a base runner applies to a fair batted ball only.
Rule 7.08 Any runner is out when (f) He is touched by a fair ball in fair territory before the ball has touched or passed an infielder. The ball is dead and no runner may score, nor runners advance, except runners forced to advance. EXCEPTION: If a runner is touching his base when touched by an Infield Fly, he is not out, although the batter is out;

Bases are loaded and strike three is missed by the catcher. Is there a force play at home or must the throw go to 1st base?

Do the outside edges of the Foul Lines in Baseball line up with the outside edges of 1B and 3B, thus going "over" the base? Or, are they supposed to go along side the outside edge of the bases? I have seen it both ways many places. Which is correct?

You're reading I'm batting I hit a foul ball from 3rd base and I hit the 3rd base runner on foul territory. How would you call that play a out or a dead ball?
