A dog groomer friend of mine said that dogs have a gland next to their anus that gets full every so often and needs to be expelled. Its something the dog groomers do for the owners. He said you can tell that the gland needs to be expelled when the dog starts dragging their bum across the floor.

It could be but another reason could be that your puppy has diarrhea or soft stools that are stuck to its anus or the fur around it and it tries to clean itself up. There also could be an inflammation around the area. Check for redness. Was you puppy treated with an oil that fights fleas? This could be another issue.

Most likely. When she's dragging her bum it means her bum is itchy... which happens when they have some kinds of worms
