I didn't know, I'm a British girl.

Ah! You did well though! Are you expecting snow for Christmas there?
by Ditto on December 6th, 2009
Would be nice but I doubt it. We normally get the snow mid January. Although it is getting colder than previous years so maybe.
by Dibley on December 6th, 2009
We just got our first snowfall last night... just a few inches but I think it will stay around for a while. I'm actually going to run out to the shed now and pull out the shovels and scrapers for the cars, Hahaha!

Do you have kids that can play in it?
by Dibley on December 6th, 2009
I have two daughters but they are 15 and 17 now. They don't have the interest in playing in the snow that they once had. They have learned how to ski though and I'll probably take them after Christmas.

The snow here generally goes away towards the end of April. How long does it last there?
by Ditto on December 6th, 2009
April?! It will be gone by the end of January.
by Dibley on December 6th, 2009
Hahaha! That's a pretty short winter! For us, there is snow for about 4 or 5 months! I'd love for it to be shorter but I live in such a beautiful area it's worth dealing with.

It's still really cold here but the snow doesn't come much, so doesn't take long to go.
