Do you think that if the first person singular pronoun were "i" instead of "I", a whole lot of ego issues might vanish?

No, ego issues are inversely proportional to ones' understanding of true self, it hasn't much to do with how we capitalize. Someone who has a deep understanding and appreciation of themselves has an equally deep appreciation of others, and that's what ultimately solves 'ego issues'.

Many companies have banned the capitalization of 'i' in all correspondence by their staff.
Yes, the small 'i' does make one humble and behave with humility.
But it must start from primary school level. Older people like me would find it difficult to do way with the 'I'.

I am wrestling with that little i all the time when i write. Most of the time i have to correct it into a big one - - pain in the neck.
Ego issues would not diminish when the I would be changed - that is what i think.

No. Other languages (French, German) do not capitalize the personal pronoun, but do not seem particularly free of ego issues.

I think it might, although would you then be placing yourself under any other mentioned person due to their name being in a capital? Interesting :0)

No I don't the capitalization of one letter does not make a difference I is still I. The ego's people have don't base themselves on a letter.
