'89Honda Accord LXI:Lately hasn't been kicking into gear when driving at 60-70mph. Rpm's at 4000, and won't go down to normal 2000-2500-- sounds like I'm driving a racecar. Also, sputters at 0-10mph, but "kicks in" normally once I step on the accelerator

    im not a honda fan..ive seen them personaly hand granade with NoS.funny but expensive....but this sounds like a conpression problim..exaust or intake then again idk how many mi. hondas last anywhere between 200,000 and 275,000..ive herd of more..but it could be time for a serous tune up..gasgets,d.coil wires,plugs etc..if that dosent help than its your trans. but i wouldnt push the motor untill its repaird.

    i will asume your car is a auto. sounds like the torque converter is not going in to lock up. as for the sputter ignition brakedown. cap rotor wires. use ngk plugs and honda parts. aftermarket ignition stuff is junk.
