What would be a good way to celebrate a birthday alone without making it depressing, miserable and lonely?

    My 40th birthday is coming up and I will be celebrating it alone. My solution - a brand new convertible in my garage! On my birthday, I'm going to drive it up into the mountains, turn off the phone and take pictures and explore all day. I can't wait!

    Wow, let me see. pamper yourself, You deserve it, second of all if it is your birthday, Happy Birthday. Do something that you have always wanted to do but never have allowed yourself the time to do so. Know this, you are not alone, We are here for you.

    Go out and buy yourself your favorite cake and ice cream. Some soda would be good and some chips. Rent a really good movie and pig out!

    Go see a movie you've been hanging out to watch. Treat yourself to a good book. Sit in a nice cafe with a comfy chair and sip proper coffee, eat lemon slice and read said book for a while. Have dinner in a fancy restaurant.

    Nothing depressing, miserable or lonely about any of that!
