    From John 1:1-4...

1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2The same was in the beginning with God. 3All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. 4In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

Notice all things were made by the Word and without Him nothing was made!

Now notice this passage from Isaiah 42:1-8...(specifically vers 5) 1Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect, in whom my soul delighteth; I have put my spirit upon him: he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles. 2He shall not cry, nor lift up, nor cause his voice to be heard in the street. 3A bruised reed shall he not break, and the smoking flax shall he not quench: he shall bring forth judgment unto truth.
4He shall not fail nor be discouraged, till he have set judgment in the earth: and the isles shall wait for his law. 5Thus saith God the LORD, he that created the heavens, and stretched them out; he that spread forth the earth, and that which cometh out of it; he that giveth breath unto the people upon it, and spirit to them that walk therein: 6I the LORD have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles; 7To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house. 8I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.

God (El -- singular form of Elohiym) the Lord (Jehovah) in verse 5 is repsonsible for creation. We also know from John 1:1-4 that the Word was repsonsible for creation. Now read John 1:14:

14And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

Now we know who the Word is... Jesus.

Thus God (El) = Lord (Jehova) = Word (Jesus)

There are many other versus that could be used as proof texts as well.

    Many would say so.
    On the other hand.............

You may have to ask the Magic Eight Ball for an answer to this one. You will only get what other people believe, not an absolute answer to this type question.

Of course not. Jehovah is simply another name for God, like Yahweh or Elohim.

No Jesus is not the same as Jehovah the Father.

The Psalm 110 (King James Version) Says it like this:
    King James Version (KJV)
    Psalm 110:
1The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool.
2The LORD shall send the rod of thy strength out of Zion: rule thou in the midst of thine enemies.
Now Note the New World Translation:

    David. A melody.
110 The utterance of Jehovah to my Lord is:
    “Sit at my right hand
Until I place your enemies as a stool for your feet.”
2 The rod of your strength Jehovah will send out of Zion, [saying:]
“Go subduing in the midst of your enemies.”

Here, clearly we can see that Jehovah is speaking to Jesus.

On the day of Pentecost, the apostle Peter freely declared to astonished Jews in Jerusalem: “This Jesus God resurrected, of which fact we are all witnesses. Therefore because he was exalted to the right hand of God and received the promised holy spirit from the Father, he has poured out this which you see and hear. Actually David did not ascend to the heavens, but he himself says, ‘Jehovah said to my Lord: “Sit at my right hand, until I place your enemies as a stool for your feet.”’ Therefore let all the house of Israel know for a certainty that God made him both Lord and Christ, this Jesus whom you impaled.” (Acts 2:32-36) Yes, Jehovah God made Jesus of Nazareth “both Lord and Christ.

As you can see here, Peter was saying that it was Jesus who was the “my Lord” that David was prophesying about in the 110 th Psalm.

Clearly, this is just one example of how Jehovah the father and Jesus the Son are two different persons.

According to the Bible, Jehovah is the Father and Jesus is the son of God.
(John 17:3) This means everlasting life, their taking in knowledge of you, the only true God, and of the one whom you sent forth, Jesus Christ.
(1 Corinthians 8:5-6) For even though there are those who are called “gods,” whether in heaven or on earth, just as there are many “gods” and many “lords,” 6 there is actually to us one God the Father, out of whom all things are, and we for him; and there is one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things are, and we through him.
(John 10:36) do YOU say to me whom the Father sanctified and dispatched into the world, ‘You blaspheme,’ because I said, I am God’s Son?

(John 8:17-18) Also, in YOUR own Law it is written, ‘The witness of two men is true.’ 18 I am one that bears witness about myself, and the Father who sent me bears witness about me.”

Jesus said that the Father is who the Jews say is their God. Who do the Jews say is there God? (notice they also say Jehovah is their Father)
    (John 8:54) Jesus answered: “If I glorify myself, my glory is nothing. It is my Father that glorifies me, he who YOU say is YOUR God;
Isaiah 63:16) For you are our Father; although Abraham himself may not have known us and Israel himself may not recognize us, you, O Jehovah, are our Father. Our Repurchaser of long ago is your name.
(Isaiah 64:8) And now, O Jehovah, you are our Father. We are the clay, and you are our Potter; and all of us are the work of your hand.
(Ezekiel 36:23) ‘And I shall certainly sanctify my great name, which was being profaned among the nations, which YOU profaned in the midst of them; and the nations will have to know that I am Jehovah,’ is the utterance of the Sovereign Lord Jehovah, ‘when I am sanctified among YOU before their eyes.
(Matthew 6:9) “YOU must pray, then, this way: “‘Our Father in the heavens, let your name be sanctified.

Jehovah is the most high God, while Jesus is the son of the most high God.
(Genesis 14:22) At this A′bram said to the king of Sod′om: “I do lift up my hand [in an oath] to Jehovah the Most High God, Producer of heaven and earth,
(Psalm 83:18) That people may know that you, whose name is Jehovah, You alone are the Most High over all the earth.
(Luke 1:32) This one will be great and will be called Son of the Most High; and Jehovah God will give him the throne of David his father,
(Mark 5:7) and, when he had cried out with a loud voice, he said: “What have I to do with you, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I put you under oath by God not to torment me.”
(Luke 8:28) At the sight of Jesus he cried aloud and fell down before him, and with a loud voice he said: “What have I to do with you, Jesus Son of the Most High God? I beg you, do not torment me.”

(Luke 23:46) And Jesus called with a loud voice and said: “Father, into your hands I entrust my spirit.” When he had said this, he expired.
(Psalm 31:5) Into your hand I entrust my spirit. You have redeemed me, O Jehovah the God of truth.

In Malachi, Jehovah is God and Father of all, in Eph and 1Cor the Father is God and Father of all.
(Ephesians 4:6) one God and Father of all [persons], who is over all and through all and in all.
(1 Corinthians 8:6) there is actually to us one God the Father, out of whom all things are, and we for him; and there is one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things are, and we through him.
(Malachi 2:10) “Is it not one father that all of us have? Is it not one God that has created us? Why is it that we deal treacherously with one another, in profaning the covenant of our forefathers?
(Malachi 2:16) For he has hated a divorcing,” Jehovah the God of Israel has said; “and the one who with violence has covered over his garment,” Jehovah of armies has said. “And YOU must guard yourselves respecting YOUR spirit, and YOU must not deal treacherously.

Jehovah is God, Father and Rock.
(2 Samuel 22:47) Jehovah is living; and blessed be my Rock; And let the God of the rock of my salvation be exalted.
(Psalm 89:26) He himself calls out to me, ‘You are my Father, My God and the Rock of my salvation.’
(John 20:17) Jesus said to her: “Stop clinging to me. For I have not yet ascended to the Father. But be on your way to my brothers and say to them, ‘I am ascending to my Father and YOUR Father and to my God and YOUR God.’”

Jehovah is Father of Jesus, Jesus is son
(Psalm 2:7) Let me refer to the decree of Jehovah; He has said to me: “You are my son; I, today, I have become your father.
(Hebrews 5:5) So too the Christ did not glorify himself by becoming a high priest, but [was glorified by him] who spoke with reference to him: “You are my son; I, today, I have become your father.”
(Matthew 3:17) Look! Also, there was a voice from the heavens that said: “This is my Son, the beloved, whom I have approved.”
(Malachi 2:8-10) “But YOU men—YOU have turned aside from the way. YOU have caused many to stumble in the law. YOU have ruined the covenant of Le′vi,” Jehovah of armies has said. 9 “And I also, for my part, shall certainly make YOU to be despised and low to all the people, according as YOU were not keeping my ways, but were showing partiality in the law.” 10 “Is it not one father that all of us have? Is it not one God that has created us? Why is it that we deal treacherously with one another, in profaning the covenant of our forefathers?

Ps. 110:1: “The utterance of Jehovah to my [David’s] Lord is: ‘Sit at my right hand until I place your enemies as a stool for your feet.’” (At Matthew 22:41-45, Jesus explained that he himself was David’s “Lord,” referred to in this psalm. So Jesus is not Jehovah but is the one to whom Jehovah’s words were here directed.) Jesus is at God's right hand.
(1 Peter 3:22) He is at God’s right hand, for he went his way to heaven; and angels and authorities and powers were made subject to him.
(Acts 2:33) Therefore because he was exalted to the right hand of God and received the promised holy spirit from the Father, he has poured out this which YOU see and hear.
(Romans 8:34) Who is he that will condemn? Christ Jesus is the one who died, yes, rather the one who was raised up from the dead, who is on the right hand of God, who also pleads for us.
(Psalm 110:1) The utterance of Jehovah to my Lord is: “Sit at my right hand Until I place your enemies as a stool for your feet.”
(Matthew 20:23) He said to them: “YOU will indeed drink my cup, but this sitting down at my right hand and at my left is not mine to give, but it belongs to those for whom it has been prepared by my Father.”
(Ephesians 1:17-20) that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give YOU a spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the accurate knowledge of him; 18 the eyes of YOUR heart having been enlightened, that YOU may know what is the hope to which he called YOU, what the glorious riches are which he holds as an inheritance for the holy ones, 19 and what the surpassing greatness of his power is toward us believers. It is according to the operation of the mightiness of his strength, 20 with which he has operated in the case of the Christ when he raised him up from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly places,
