  • Many would say so. On the other hand............. You may have to ask the Magic Eight Ball for an answer to this one. You will only get what other people believe, not an absolute answer to this type question.
  • According to my Holy Bible, and my belief-Yes. In His grasp, <:))))<>< "Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good." Romans 12:21
  • From John 1:1-4... 1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2The same was in the beginning with God. 3All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. 4In him was life; and the life was the light of men. Notice all things were made by the Word and without Him nothing was made! Now notice this passage from Isaiah 42:1-8...(specifically vers 5) 1Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect, in whom my soul delighteth; I have put my spirit upon him: he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles. 2He shall not cry, nor lift up, nor cause his voice to be heard in the street. 3A bruised reed shall he not break, and the smoking flax shall he not quench: he shall bring forth judgment unto truth. 4He shall not fail nor be discouraged, till he have set judgment in the earth: and the isles shall wait for his law. 5Thus saith God the LORD, he that created the heavens, and stretched them out; he that spread forth the earth, and that which cometh out of it; he that giveth breath unto the people upon it, and spirit to them that walk therein: 6I the LORD have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles; 7To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house. 8I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images. God (El -- singular form of Elohiym) the Lord (Jehovah) in verse 5 is repsonsible for creation. We also know from John 1:1-4 that the Word was repsonsible for creation. Now read John 1:14: 14And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. Now we know who the Word is... Jesus. Thus God (El) = Lord (Jehova) = Word (Jesus) There are many other versus that could be used as proof texts as well.
  • No Jesus is not the same as Jehovah the Father. The Psalm 110 (King James Version) Says it like this: King James Version (KJV) Psalm 110: 1The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool. 2The LORD shall send the rod of thy strength out of Zion: rule thou in the midst of thine enemies. Now Note the New World Translation: David. A melody. 110 The utterance of Jehovah to my Lord is: “Sit at my right hand Until I place your enemies as a stool for your feet.” 2 The rod of your strength Jehovah will send out of Zion, [saying:] “Go subduing in the midst of your enemies.” Here, clearly we can see that Jehovah is speaking to Jesus. On the day of Pentecost, the apostle Peter freely declared to astonished Jews in Jerusalem: “This Jesus God resurrected, of which fact we are all witnesses. Therefore because he was exalted to the right hand of God and received the promised holy spirit from the Father, he has poured out this which you see and hear. Actually David did not ascend to the heavens, but he himself says, ‘Jehovah said to my Lord: “Sit at my right hand, until I place your enemies as a stool for your feet.”’ Therefore let all the house of Israel know for a certainty that God made him both Lord and Christ, this Jesus whom you impaled.” (Acts 2:32-36) Yes, Jehovah God made Jesus of Nazareth “both Lord and Christ. As you can see here, Peter was saying that it was Jesus who was the “my Lord” that David was prophesying about in the 110 th Psalm. Clearly, this is just one example of how Jehovah the father and Jesus the Son are two different persons.
  • Of course not. Jehovah is simply another name for God, like Yahweh or Elohim.
