Jamie Foxx???? has he even be relevant in the last 5 years, and barely a blip then??? and if i was a Boston taxpayer, i'd be a bit more than upset that the city was wasting money on crap like this

I'd say that's about right.. I like some junk food, and hate other junk food, and none of it is substantial- so that's a good analogy.

The world's role-models haven't got any worse, they've just got harder to differentiate. We still have great works of literature or great politicians from times past to look toward. We choose our own role-models, just as we choose our own future. If someone wants to look to Lady Gaga then they may, but it's not because she's being inflicted upon them. Shakespeare is driven into students in school, but whether they choose to appreciate his literary merit or not is up to them. People need to stop blaming those that have the capacity to influence and start blaming those individuals who have the capacity to be so easily swayed.

Well junk food isn't quite how I'd put it, garbage is more like it in someone like Lady Ga(g) Ga(g)'s place; Haven't heard much of Jamie Foxx. Felixthecat1000 is right also...there are much worse role models out there. Unfortunately, what people who are looking for role models are exposed to today is more sexually and violently charged material than in the past. It has slowly gotten worse over the decades; like the frog in the pot...you turn the heat up slowly and he never knows that he's being cooked until it's too late. They are also looking in the wrong place for role models if they are looking at the entertainment world. It seems to be filled with people with questionable behavior. Politicians are out too for sure.

Not in the least - and why go for someone like Jamie Foxx or Lady Gaga when there are much worse rolemodels out there?
