Tell the person why you don't want to be friends anymore. They will either understand and change their ways or get mad and deal with it elsewhere. If they don't want to lose the friendship as they said then they will change to make it work.

EXPLANATION (since I got a -4, so I felt one was necessary):
This "friend" has hurt people to the extreme. She has kept me around to lie to me about other people. She wants me around to listen to all of her made up problems and false accusations. She has tried to control MY TIME, who MY FRIENDS ARE, and so on. She has tried to turn me against good people, sometimes just because she was jealous of them, and other times because she just wanted to be nasty. I have VERY good reason for wanting to end this friendship. I'll update this answer later as I have to go to school soon. For now, though, this is just a summary.

Set them down, offer them a cookie, look them deep in the eyes and then say "my friend I think I just pooped my pants can you wipe my asss for me?" I gurantee they will not want to be your friend after that experience, and if they do then I dont know take a bus to mexico and just keep running.

im going through the same thing. what i try to do is seperate myself from her to make her not feel as bad. i know she has other friends so it keeps her busy. also when she texts me i just tell her im doing something and that i will text her later or just not text her back

Set her down, tell her exactly why you are ending the friendship, wish her all the best, and walk away. It's that easy. She's hardly been a friend to you (or anyone else for that matter) so you have every right to not have to put up with it. Besides, what's the worst that can happen? If she spreads any kind of rumors about you, you can laugh in her face, coz she's pissed off so many people that nobody would believe her over you.

well you know I'm goimg throught the same crap but really deep down they don't care or they wouldn't of tried doing the bad thing to you in the first place
