If I put goldfish in slightly salty water for 10 mins, will it get rid of slimy white stuff on it?

    It will get rid of the fish. :( You can buy a water treatment from aquarium shops and vets.

    Don't think so. It sounds like the poor fish has, what we call, ich. You get a cheap remedy at the petshop to treat them. It is also contagious to other fish.
