Question

Help answer this question below.

Does anyone know how to manually remove a virus? I downloaded this monopoly game winzip file & it is infected. Norton won't delete it & when I attempted to remove/delete it, my system crashed just by me clicking on it.

I google the virus on another computer get the cure and download to a disc or usb device and then apply it to the infected one. Some of these buggers have built in defences and won't allow you you to download direct.
I don't know what virus you have but this has always worked for me...so far.

Try deleting it from the command prompt.

on a different computer download a program called Malware Bytes. Once downloaded rename it to something else e.g. "cheese.exe", then copy it onto a usb pen or cd then put it in your computer and install. then restart your computer in safe mode. once started up, run malware bytes and perform a quick scan, this should take about 10 to 15 mins. it should find and remove all viruses. then restart your computer normally and perform a full scan if it still finds more viruses then remove them and restart in safe mode and repeat the process until it doesnt find any viruses.
