Help answer this question below.
I know a friend and whenever we go to new places and he always says that someone is watching and he can feel the presence of someone around.
He had a dreadful fear of corduroy.
Yes, the fabric.
I found out because I was wearing my cute corduroy hat from Germany and sat next to him in class. He asked me, "Is that corduroy?!" and mistaking his emphasis on "corduroy" to be excitement, I removed my hat to show it to him, and said, "Yes, it is!" He cowered from my hat in fear, and explained his irrational fear of the fabric.
From that day on, I made a point to wear corduroy every time I went to that class ;)
I still dont know if I believe this person was real or a hired actor b/c I just dont get this, but anyways, I saw a talk show where some girl claimed to be afraid of lettuce.
A fear of flowers. She can't explain 'why' or doesn't remember having a bad experience to cause it.
fear of pretty girls
My father became obsessed with a prophet from the 1500's in 1998 and in the summer of 1999 moved us out to Portales, New Mexico under the assumption that that was the only way to escape the comet that was going to come and destroy the world. Also, my brother has a phobia of photo enforcement cameras. To learn more about my family, go to the 6th question in my Q&A section to find stories about my family.
Condiments. She would never use ketchup, mustard, relish, etc... But for some reason she could never have enough mayonnaise. Go figure. :)
Birds. A friend of mine is completely shit-scared. She crosses the road to avoid pigeons. Walks in big circles around them and makes her friends avoid them to, in case they fly at her.
Her dad used to hold turkeys in front of her as a young child, they would flap around and scare the crap out of her. And I think he killed a few in front of her while they were flapping. Sick ay? No wonder shes afraid of them.
I have a fear of mutants (real people that have large physical 'mutations') that is my biggest, though irrational, fear. Also, i don't know if this would count as a fear, but wet or damp clothes. If my clothes get wet somehow, especially on jeans, I get really anxious and have to change right away if I can or else i'm really on edge and a nervous wreck. It really bothers me for some reason.
