I would charge my cellphone for the coming 24 hour outage.. Which is ironic because they worldwide occurrence of charging appliances would mean that everyone would end up using the same amount of power anyway.

I've had that happen in my neighborhood, and it's no fun especially when one lives alone. The only thing to do is read with a flashlight. Really boring 24 hours.

Go to the store and buy a lot of batteries for my flashlight and lots of candles. Then I would buy any food I could eat that can be at room temperature. Pork and beans, peanut butter, crackers, etc. Oh no. that means 24 hours with no AB. **screaming** withdrawal :0

Ok I love the oil lamps but do have a back up generator. Got to keep the freezer cold.
