I would consider them to be prostitutes. The selling of sex is prostitution in my opinion even if it's through the medium of the computer.

You bet I do as well as prostatutes, adultresses, sluts, and just plain out amoral people. They sure as hell aren't women in my book. Breathing sex toys is about as close as they get around here.

I do not consider the women online who do webcam shows as being whores, because they are not having sex. All they are doing is showing you their body. They usually don't masturbate or use toys on camera. All they do is show you their bodies, and get paid for it. I know there is something morally wrong with that, but I do not consider it being nearly as bad as being a "whore". Cameron Diaz had a website like that for a while way before she was famous, and I've heard other actresses did as well. It is a way for girls to make money by showing their bodies without having to be face to face with the people they're showing their bodies to. It's all online, so it's safer.

A previous poster said "selling of sex is prostitution in my opinion even if it's through the medium of the computer". Well, then that would make pretty much any of our favorite celebrities (Johnny Depp, Britney Spears, Brad Pitt, Penelope Cruz) "prostitutes" as well. They sell the image of sex. They sell their looks and their sexuality. That's how it works in the entertainment industry. The women on those sites (and they are not girls under 18... They site owners lie about their ages so they attract more men) do not have sex for money, so I don't consider them prostitutes. They do sell sex, but so do a lot of movies stars. And I don't consider that prostitution.

I think they are women who are trying to pay the bills. It may not be the way many women would choose to make money, but it depends on their individual circumstances. As a male, I would not be a part of it, but I try not to pass judgement. The sad fact is that there is a market for it.
-
I don't call them names and I don't call them.
-
Capitalists.
-
No, they are not whores. They are misguided. I think some of them are likely to go on to live very productive lives. We should not be so quick to judge, especially the young. Tell me you did not make mistakes in your youth and I will call you a liar.
-
They are certainly not whores, and I think I would actually do the same if I could. I mean, they get paid without having to really do anything. Oh, and it should be known that I have no morals whatsoever.
-
If you define a whore as a person considered as having compromised their principles for personal gain; absolutely.
-
actresses, models, performers, adult entertainers.
