    Asker's Pick

Catcher, without a doubt. I think it would be very difficult to crouch down like they do. You have to watch all the time to stop the speedsters from stealing bases.

I think catching is the position with the most contact as well. Catchers often collide with runners trying to score runs. Also, there is the most chance of being hit by the ball.

    Good question. +5

Shortstop...it requires extreme throwing accuracy and footwork. The ball is most often hit to the shortstop, so it is also the most active position.

    Asker's Pick

It's a pitcher....Catcher would be the second hardest position, but as a pitcher the technicality that each pitcher must master is easily the hardest part of playing a position. Catchers must endure the most of any position, but as far difficulty goes it's the pitcher.

Obviously catcher. Just look at odds:

    -Avg. catcher plays 100+ games
-On knees bouncing up and down EVERY pitch
-Take pressure as a liason between pitcher and coach
-Wears the most gear in the entire sport
-Must have the one of the hardest throws on the team
-BEING A PART OF EVERY SINGLE PLAY IN A GAME

Then of course there is the pressure aspect...

Can't believe no one said Pitcher. The pitcher stands only 60 ft, 6 in. from the batter at the beginning of his pitch. After his follow through he may be as close as 50 ft. The line drives are hit right at him or he has to cover 1st on a grounder. Pitcher have to be great athletes.

    The team MANAGER.

If the team doesn't win too many games, he gets blamed and is fired, right away.

He has to please the players AND the owners, and everyone knows that manure runs BOTH uphill and downhill, when you are the team manager.

Third base. Making that quick throw from there to first base, often unbalanced running away from the bag, is a lot harder than it looks.
