That's why I asked - it sounded odd and I had never heard such a thing. However, since I don't know everything about Mormonism - and often it can be hard to find straight answers on www.lds.org I felt it best to ask.

And the context and way that she made the reference didn't merit a citation so I'm not going to be too hard on her - she's human and I heard her say that there are many things that she could write if she only had the time.
.
Which just means that she's honest and has writing in her blood. Anyone who has written and gotten published feels that way too - at least those I know who have do.

So I've got Edndori tells me that this ISN'T Mormon Doctrine and that Latayne is a hack for claiming so and then you produce a citation that seems to indicate that it is.

I guess it goes down to what IS doctrine in Mormonism? My citation shows that Brigham Young taught something similar, but it's not found in any of our Standard Works or our temple ceremonies.

At times it seems like CES has became the final authority on what's "docrine" and what isn't.

So here's a thought: Is this taught in any CES cirricullum?

I used to be able to search that section of www.lds.org but now it's locked down and password protected so I can't.
