Help answer this question below.

I have a 99 ford expedition , the door ajar light stays on and the interior light wont shut off. help

    before you look into the g.e.m module check your door latches. thats where the little switch is thats normaly on the door jam on other cars. it might be sticking. hope you have luck with this first.

    Are you sure that the back door is shut completely? I have an Explorer and the back door looks shut, but sometimes the bed mat gets close enough to keep it from shutting properly. I also have to slam it sometimes to get it to close tightly.

    same thing happened to me. the cure for mine was the g.e.m module its located behind the fuse block. you will need the specific numbers of it to get the new one. it cost around 200.00 and its dealer order only. i hope this helps you.
