Have you ever removed someone from your friends list on here. Why?

If you don't get a message from an AB friend for a month, do you delete them? Or sooner?

You're reading When friends you really enjoy leave AB, do you keep them on your Friends List in case they return or purge the list to make space and hope you spot them if they ever return?

Makes sense. Thanks, Rosie. I see no harm in leaving the names there. Still hoping some like Chris (Captain Kirk Avatar) and Colt return someday.

Did you know Kevin? He was a gem, a jewel, a real pal. He was forced out by a cabal which used to exist on AB and may have gone underground and still exist here for all I know. I miss him a lot. Chris was a friend of his so while Chris was here I felt that Kev was still here, if only peripherally. Then Chris left. I'm still here. When I leave I shall say goodbye, never to be seen or heard from again. Until then, we should party hearty my friend since we never know what is around the bend so why pretend it will never end? :(

So true. I am concerned that failing health may have taken Colt from us unexpectedly. I know he had some serious heaqlth issues. Chris did announce his departure, but so many others have not.

Colt was very nice. But many people who leave without any word do so because they don't really consider AB that special. I have heard from more than one person "it's only an internet site...not even real" or words to that effect. I think it's a special place. If I didn't I wouldn't be here. I'm either "in" or I'm "out". I'm not what you'd call a "casual" person. Many here are very casual and detached and aloof and they are the ones who leave without a fare-the-well. Happy Saturday Jim! :) After the DreAnna and Major Tom fiascos it's hard to know who is telling the truth, isn't it?
by RosieGHM Jetpacker on November 28th, 2009
It may just be an internet website, but the people here are quite real and have feelings.
I know about Dreanna. Was Major Tom a put-on too?
by Jim in a Nautilus COAT on November 28th, 2009
Yes...totally. All lies. Suby got sucked into it and inadvertently sucked others up into it as well. The moment Major Tom said his meghan had died five hours before I knew something was very wrong. Going on the internet to talk to strangers after your beloved has just died? I don't think so. That isn't even almost kinda normal in my book. So another one took us for saps. :(

The one with a spouse dying in a bus crash? This is the first I heard anything suspicious. I tried looking up past stuff related to that- - it all makes no sense, now, comments deleted, etc. Seems the Major Tom disappeared, too then became Anonymous for a bit. Does seem false, now. Whatever. I don't understand it all. If it makes any difference, I wouldn't have the balls to even think of stuff like that to do- - and I'd feel way too guilty after. I read this entire thread ,Rosie GHM Jetpacker and Jim in a Nautilas COAT, and found it rather cool. :) [Once I hit The Tom Whammy part -- then I must let that all go it seems. Don't know what one writes about something like that.]Full points to both of you. Be Well. :)

Thank you WQ. This is a thread that I would rather not have found necessary m'dear. Expecting honesty and finding duplicity is not my favorite thing. Thank you for the kind words and Happy Sunday to you! :)

You're welcome. Thanks to you for responding ,too. :)

Thanks for clearing it up, Rosie. I wondered at the time, but of course gave the guy the benefit of the doubt. What benefit anyone gets from pulling such a stunt is a total mystery to me.

Some people get their kicks in kicking others where it hurts my friend. It makes them feel "superior", "powerful", "whatever"! :(
by RosieGHM Jetpacker on November 30th, 2009
I guess. Life can't be very much fun for someone with such an outlook.
