Help answer this question below.

I have a Toshiba 32" TV, model number CF3072B. It has vertical lines going across the top and takes up about 1/4th the screen. What is wrong? How can this be fixed by me? And how much would it cost to get professionally done?

    Youre Vertical Lines are Overlapping on the top and Desending. The Problem is one or several of the Electronic Capacitors Shorting out in the Vertical Circuit. These Caps look like Cylinders with Two legs soldered to the Board. Thay have a Plastic coating over it in Blue, Black or Gray.I say it would be very inexpensive to fix. I've done many repairs just like this one. Hope this was Helpfull.

    I have the same tv and the same problem. The issue is with vertical hold. Unfortunately, there is no way to adjust it using the remote control or the controls on the tv. Someone will have to open it up to fix it.

    Unfortunately, the cost of fixing it will likely be more than the value of the tv! I suggest doing what I did, and getting a new TV. It has been 16 years since the CF3072B came out after all!
