No. Who but World War II historians can know all about the military strategies and compaigns in the ETO or evaluate them? Obviously, if in real time different strategic decisions were made and executed by either the Allies and Axis powers, the results could differ. Whether advancing the Sixth Army at Strousberg across the Rhine would have curtailed the number of casualties at the Battle of the Bulge and shortened the war is academic. The bottom line is that the good guys won at the end.
I am aware of it yes and if Hitler had kept and left Rommel alone at the North sea the entire Allied invasion would have been a big disaster. Luckily he removed Rommel and didn't follow his plans.
But the turning moment for me was when the Germans stopped pursuing radar technology and the Brits developed it completely.
Lieutenant General Devers
Was very very clever.
So Ike should have said: Fine!
Go to it. Cross the Rhine.”
Had that been done in 44,
We might have seen a shorter war,
And none would have had to indulge
In that damned Battle of the Bulge.

If the war in Europe could have ended in 1944 instead of 1945 - possibly the Japanese military too could have been stopped much earlier without having had to use the Atom Bomb.
Apparently I don't know. I can't find the link. Do you mind posting it again?
How could have Germany won the second world war. i would prefer plausible answers but anything is fine.

You're reading How World War II wasn’t won. Were you aware of the actual history of the push into Germany? See LINK:

True. Shoulda, coulda, woulda never trumps reality. But I found it interesting reading to speculate on.
