Help answer this question below.
I can spell it correctly. That's about it. +5
Well, you have your atom. Within the atom, you got your protons and neutrons. Outside, you have your electrons. They spin around the protons and neutrons.
I know of nuclear physics....
not much but it I'd love to learn.
quantum physics ova hya ol' boy (said with a fake Prenston accent smoking a corn pipe all smarty pants like) quite....dewn't chew knew....
No I don't but thanks for asking.
No, but my elder brother knows a lot.
very very very very little :P but i'd love to learn more :)
I know a bit but not as much as I should know. I wouldn't fancy picking it as a subject to answer questions on in a quiz, but I might cope with the odd one thrown in amongst general knowledge questions. Why am I turning this into a question about quizzes? I feel a question coming on..., thanks Finny! :-)
probably not enough to answer your next question
No don't know nothing about it. +5
Well, a bit. I have a very rusty degree in (ordinary) physics and I keep up with the popular science magazines, so I probably know more than the average guy in the street. But it is a huge and very technical subject, so I would be far from claiming expertise.
just the high school basics
Yes, I do.
I know that the generally accepted wisdom is that energy=mass*speed of light^2. And that if you can shove enough atoms into the same space they fuse and create a whole lot of energy. or, on the other hand if you pump enough energy into one atom, it splits and goes boom. that's my understanding anyway. not really sure how fission is harnessed to create viable energy sources, I think it has something to do with producing lots of heat and generating steam to push turbines.
Does it take much knowledge of science to know how to make a nuclear, or something similar, bomb?
