  • You can't 'solve' this equation by itself, because it has an infinite set of solution points. But you can graph it, to indicate where those points lie on the line that would represent y = -3x + 3 If you set y = 0, then what does that force 'x' to be? If you set x = 0, ... ? Now you have your x and y axis intercepts, that is: (x, 0) (for the y intercept) and (0, y) for the x intercept. With those two points you can draw the line through those points that indicates the entire solution set of that equation.
