Help answer this question below.
I dont generally think about them in one way or another. Some of us are here to ask, some of us are here to answer. Doesnt matter, so long as they're happy doing what they want :)
I mostly spend my time answering questions rather than asking. I will ask a question if I feel I need advice or opinions, but I personally feel I am being more helpful and enjoy answering questions rather than asking.
I'm not sure why anybody would feel any different, but hey hoe
I think they're wonderful!
Nothing, do you have a problem with them?...+
They're smart enough to use google and not ask trivial dumb questions. Good for them.
Fine and dandy. To each their own.
I don't ask questions - Last count was 48Q to 1003A, I love answering questions, I love the stimulation of someone elses questions.
But I now feel a little bit overwhelmed - am I supposed to be asking questions?
I think we contribute far more than people who just ask facile questions in the pursuit of points.
the questions i have can't be answered here with any accuracy.i hope by answering other peoples questions i'll learn about myself and find the answers i need from within, but what do i know i'm crazy.
They may be getting paid to answer questions only, while the rest of us work at asking questions and not getting paid.
There are ABers who ONLY ANSWER and there are ABers that ONLY ASK and there are ABers who do both! I do both and it isn't a big deal to me if other ONLY ANSWER! That is what makes AB WORK!! +5 tbilgin
If you can't think of any, zip it. I feel immense gratitude that they have the decency to shut it until they do.
never say never just when you think they won't ask here it goes.
Members can participate in the forum any way they want.
I don't ask many questions. It doesn't really bother me at all.
I think it's not cool. This community is about contributing in both ways.

as one who rarely asks questions, i would hope that thinking is not too harsh against me :)
I think it's perfectly fine, some people would rather read than ask.

A good amount of mine goes unanswered as it is. Just like mostly participating in opinion-type questions. Kills the time and gets the grey matter pumping.
It is their choice.
If they are happy then why not just answer?
I quite often don't have any questions to ask, therefore don't ask any. Also I sometimes don't come on the site for long periods at a time.
I ask questions. They don't get answered. So now I mostly answer.
A lot of the answers I need I find in questions that have been asked already. So no need to repeat the question.
Why?
I have myself an answer to question rate of 26.7, so I can understand very well that some users are more interested in answering than in asking.
However, by not asking, they miss part of the fun.
we are a community some of us ask, some of us answer, and some of us do both. i have been a member since 6.29.09 seems to be working out great.

Since they never ask questions I don't know who they are. Therefore I don't think about them at all. ;-)
They would rather 'give' then 'receive' :)
Maybe they search their questions here and find they are already been asked, so they get their answers without asking. Or maybe they are just here to share their knowledge. Asking questions is optional so it's their personal choice so it's ok.
The exception is people who advertise (use answers with the same thing saying on random questions - like advertising shoes, clothes, etc.) and they have only answers. I hate people who are trying to ruin good things in life, so I hate them too!
Probably worried no one will answer.
Some prefer to provide answers. Often they are people who have spent a lifetime honing their research skills since way long before computerized research.
My stats as of today:
Answers: 4992
Questions: 37
If only answering is wrong, then I am SO wrong!! And I am OK with that.
Perhaps they lack imagination? No biggie.
;-)
Something is not right. In my opinion, people who only answer questions, feel that they can give their opinion based on whatever they are based on, but refuse to take an opinin from you seesm to be a dominant approach or an "I have all the answers" mentality. People can chose to do whatever they want, but I believe that those who ask and answer are more open and honest and our here to learn from others instad of just preaching to them. q:)
I think nothing of them, and why should you? Perhaps they are here just to benefit from my wisdom.
they must no evrything.
I think that if they do it to "really" help out, why would they absolutely "need" to ask questions?
When I need to know something, I do research and usually find what I need!
So I decided that if I can help others based on my research, why not?
That decision is not me wanting to be a "Know-it-all" but me being ready, willing and able to help others.
If one day, I don't find what I need by researching, you can bet I will ask!
We are not all the same person so why should we act all the same?
How do you know who these people are (whom you say are not asking questions, only answering them) unless you are researching their individual profiles to see all of their activity?? That would have to be very time-consuming, I would think. I don't look at a lot of profiles, unless I decide to try and add someone as a friend - or if someone is trying to add me as a friend, I definitely look at their profile then, to find out more about them. Enjoy AB for what it is - I would think it doesn't really matter about who is asking, answering, or both - it's just fun overall.
Some seem to mourn the transformation of Answerbag from Q&A to what it is now. Isn't it still Q & A? How is not? Do you mourn? Why?

Is AB a question answer site, or a popularity contest, or a site for cliques? or all of it?

If you have a stake in something you work to make it better. Do you have a stake in Answerbag?
