I'm not sure about where you live but here they need to give me at least a 24 hr. notice.
If you do not give him permission to enter you can actually have him arrested for breaking in. It won´t stick but it scares him.
There are far more laws securing your privacy and security then that there are laws thatallow him to come in.
You have to learn to be a bastard to some peoples. You will win this struggle, you cannot loose. Stand on your rigths.
I had a jerk like that in Florida. He would walk right in my house because he was the landlord. I left him a letter and told him if he did it again I was calling the police.
Based on our limited engagements, I could see why the caretaker might be enticed to frequently visit you. Take it as a compliment (from me as well as the caretaker), and let the caretaker know that you appreciate your privacy and would welcome at least five minutes to throw the weatherman out before s/he comes to visit.
You will want to check your local statutes at the City Hall, but such I believe is a mandated notice requirement.

Shortly, cameras will decide who gets a ticket and who doesn't. If the sign says 55, at what speed should the camera spit out a ticket?

You're reading Would it be unreasonable to ask caretaker to call before entering apartment? There are little things that are getting fixed(slowly), and I feel this constant in &out is an invasion of my privacy. Plus he is not telling me when he is coming in.

Yes...I agree with this. Mine has to give me 24 hour notice.

That's what I thought Maverick, so if I am not home, I should be informed of any entry on his part?
Thanks +++

I think it is a perfectly reasonable request. I'm sure the caretaker would understand, or at least should. I don't think they would appreciate someone dropping by on them un-announced. Even if it was to fix something.
