I prefer to call mine my "Journal" and have kept one since 1962!!!!!!!! yep, I'm an old dude!! (68).
It is amazing to look back and read the things written back then.....almost like it was written by another person!!
Please please start one!! and keep it up whenever you can; don't make a chore of it....you will be thankful and thoroughly enjoy it in years to come!!!!

Yes. I use it all the time to write all of my most deep and darkest sexual thoughts. Then I intentionally put it somewhere where I know my wife will find it. ;-)
