Do you consider yourself a kind person? Why or why not?

I'd have to say I am not kind. I'm not unkind either. I am not motivated by kindness, at least 90% of the time. I am usually motivated by what I consider to be right, or the right thing to do - the honorable, honest and straightforward thing to do. Sometimes this isn't the kindest thing to do, especially from a short term perspective.

I give to various charities through out the year. A few of them are World wildlife fund, WSPA and the Humane society. Another is Friends of the Sioux, a fund to help the families of the Dakota Nation. I've given a few dollars to the needy on the street. I could go on but I want to make this short. I feel I give more than I've received over the years and what do I get in return?. Not very much. I find some people have labeled me from a sucker to being gullible. I help when I feel I can do some good for someone. I'm not expecting any more than a thank you. It makes me wonder sometime, am I a sucker?. People just take advantage of my good nature at times. But with that said, I think I'm a kind person.

Yes I do consider myself to be a kind person. My mother was kind before me and her mother was kind as well. I won't detail it but I do kind things for others so that makes me a kind person I think :)

I really don't know. I don't think I'm kind or unkind. I let people dictate how I treat them. If they are nice to me I return in kind. If they are nasty, I will either be nasty or ignore. If they are indifferent than I am the same, unless there is something they need and its no bother for me to help. And if someone is being bullied I will tend to help out if I can. I couldn't say what would motivate me more. I hate bullies as much as I hate the weak being prayed upon.

I guess so. Generous would be a better word which people describe me. I will do anything I think will help someone, even when I have nothing. But I can't be "kind" when I stand up for myself, and will not be walked on. I do kind things in my generosity, but I would rather be generous than kind. I don't mean semantics here, but there is a distinction for me.

Yes, to the point of being a pushover pretty often. But I'd rather be remembered for my kindness, not someone who is nasty or walking over others on their way to the top.

I value kindness and I aspire to be that which I value. However I am impatient and sometimes that causes me to be unkind. :(

Yes...I'm constantly sacrificing my wants and happiness because I can't stand to be in any way responsible for another persons unhappiness. Unless they REALLY deserve it...then sometimes I can manage.

i consider myself kind. i help tutor my friends with homework because we're either going over that same lesson too or it was the same assignment.

I try to be there for others and think what they need and what will cheer them up. However I have found that some people just take advantage of this nature and see it as a weakness in your character. Once this has been detected I retract. Basically until badly treated I am a good friend and kind:) +5

I can be... VERY kind! It is often in direct porportion to what Im going to get out of it in return but not always. Depends on my mood. I can be rather benevolent as well just for shits and giggles. What? Least I'm honest.
