A 7kg sign is hanging from two ropes. rope a makes a 40Degree angle with the celing . Rope B makes a 60degree angle with the ceiling. determin the tension in each rope.

    The equations are:

    T1 cos 40 = T2 cos 60
    and
    T1 sin 40 + T2 sin 60 = 7kg

    Resolve the Tension component in the rope in vertical direction and equate it with the weight on the object.
