I hooked up my brother's PlayStation 3 and the power adapter "clicked" as it went into the PS3 system. Upon further investigation, the plastic component accepting the power adapter disconnected on one corner from the casing. How do I fix this?

When i plug in the power adapter and flip the power switch the ps3 does not turn on at all(the standby button does not come on).

My new PS3 works great for BluRay movies, but when I but a game in, I lose the video -- I have the video in component inputs with 1080i resolution. It looks like the system is not in sync. It also works fine with some of my old PS1 games. Any ideas?
